14th ANNUAL
TALENT CONTEST
SATURDAY, AUGUST 27th at 7 P.M.
We all know there are a lot of talented folks on the great Georgetown Divide; many have gone on to win the State Contest in both the adult and youth categories. Maybe it’s your turn this year! Whether you are a singer, a songwriter, a solo musician, a musical group, someone who does poetry or literary readings, clowning, skits, unicycle riding, bird calls, magic, gymnastics, martial arts, comedy, or whatever, this is your golden opportunity to show the community what you have, and maybe earn some fame and a few bucks at the same time.
There are two age groups, 15- and-under and 16-and-over. Prizes of $50, $30 and $20 dollars will go to the top finishers in both categories.
The evening will start off at 7 p.m., with the 15-year-old and younger talents giving performances of 5 minutes each. The 16 year and older folks will follow, sometime around 8 p.m. The judging will be influenced by the audience appeal, so this is a chance not only to see some talented folks, but to help determine the winners.
The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. giving you plenty of time to find a seat and try out some of the very affordable great desserts and drinks before the show starts at 7 pm. The cost of this fun evening is just your smile and applause. So, treat yourself and family and come down to the Marshall Grange in Garden Valley where you can join your friends and neighbors in fun and in selecting the next winners of the 12th Annual Marshall Grange Talent Contest.
